Nord Rute

'Nord Rute', an ambisonic narrative into the underworld of the indigenous Sámi people of northern Norway and their annual spring migration with thousands of reindeer. Featuring location surround recordings taken by sound artist Ross Adams and original work by the Sámi poet Synnøve Persen and Plaid. It premiered at Barents Spektakel 2010.

In Michael Arias' first live-action feature, Masato Aoyama learns that he has an untreatable illness and is nearing death. When a new friend, Harumi Shiraishi, reveals that she has never been to the ocean, they embark on an fantastic journey.
